Travelers From Accra Stopped And Screened for COVID-19 Before Continuing Their Journey – VIDEO

Some travelers who were from Accra to Sewhi, were stopped and screened of COVID-19 the Ghana Police Service before continuing the journey.

On Friday, 27th March 2020 the President announced a two week partial lock down in Accra, Kumasi and Obuasi which was going to take effect from 1:00am on Monday.

Due to this information, most people in Accra resulted to leaving the township to villages and other regions which was  not affected the partial lock down.

But doing this, it risks the lives of the people in other regions because the people from Accra can go spread it over there which will lead to an escalation of the situation.

In spite of this, the Police decided to stop and test some travelers who were on their way to Sewhi to make sure none of them was having the disease.

This move the Police service and authorities have been massively applauded the public.
